Our Team

Both Cath and Peter have worked in hospitality for over 20 years each and love liaising with new clients and welcoming back those who have been here before.

Cath trained as a chef and for 2 years was part of an award-winning team in the “Listener Montana Restaurant of the Year” competitions before moving to Melbourne and chefing there. After achieving her BCom, she has set up and owned a number of hospitality businesses in Wellington, having owned Meetings on The Terrace for 15 years whilst raising a family with her partner.

Peter originally dappled with automotive engineering then IT but decided his heart was in hospitality, especially the conference area. Having worked on Great Keppel Island and then through the Accor hotel chain in Brisbane & Wellington, Peter has now worked at Meetings on The Terrace for 5 years.

Getting Here

WALKING From Lambton Quay come up through the James Cook Arcade. Walk through the hotel lobby. We are diagonally opposite, across the street.

DRIVING From SH1 heading into Wellington, take The Terrace off ramp. We are on your right-hand side at the traffic lights on The Terrace.

TAXI 25 minutes from the airport with a taxi rank across the road.

Carparking

Unfortunately, we do not have any on-site carparks. However, we are located very close to:

  • CLIFTON TERRACE CARPARK Entrance is 50m down The Terrace. Choose a park in the Southern end and you'll be right behind us.

  • WILSON CARPARK Entrance through the James Cook Grand Chancellor Hotel, straight across the road from us.

  • ASTERON CARPARK Located next door to the Novotel Hotel, 20m down The Terrace.

We’re keeping it local with Emporio Coffee, one of the original (and still standing) Wellington based roasters for the last 23 years. They’ve been roasting in Wellington since 2000 and are still Wellington-owned and operated.

Emporio Coffee only deals in quality coffee that’s ethically and sustainably sourced. Their Rainforest Alliance Certified Nicaraguan beans are sourced from family-run farms. Emporio Coffee also works with Third Wave Coffee Source in London to support the small farmers of Guatemala—where their coffee comes from the mountainous region of Huehuetenango.
